I've been buried in programming for the last few weeks, and it's time for me to pull back for a moment and take stock. Where do I stand?
I now have a working editor; it does a great deal already. I can edit a verb's description, edit roles, and assign consequences to those roles. I also have a classification system in place that allows me to search through the verb set looking for similar verbs. It really is quite powerful. So where do I go from here?
There are so many possibilities. I could put in the script editor, allowing me to view and edit the script associated with the verb. Or I could work more on the consequences, either plugging some of those in or perhaps writing a routine that will read in the raw consequences list that I have in text. Even wilder: I could get to work on the point-and-click editor for the role definitions and the weights. However, this last option would put pressure on Dave to get his S-code work done soon.
Perhaps I should pull back in other ways. Perhaps I should take some time to learn C++ better, or study the Metrowerks environment more closely. It might help to study the MacWrite Pro manual a bit, or do some housework, or prepare monthly goals. Maybe I should work on that damned patent application now, or study how to set up monthly goals with my Wizard.
OK, here's the priorities list: first I shall study monthly goals for the Wizard, then I shall set up my monthly goals for September in the Wizard. They will be as follows: London lecture, patent review, consequences editing, point-and-click editing, study C++.
