The Knights

The Knights

The team building Siboot boasts a wide array of talents. We are all volunteers working nights and weekends. We are doing this without any promise of money, because we believe that this project is important. We would love to be able to quit our jobs and work on this project full time if there were enough money to pay us, but we’re going to get this project done one way or another.

John Kirk

John Kirk

John works as a videographer in documentary and experimental dramatic narrative. For Siboot he is making animations of facial expressions denoting emotional responses within character interactions. He will produce the project's promotional video.
He has taught 2D and 3D Animation at College level and sat on the Standards Australia Multimedia Committee as an X3D practitioner. Way back then, inspired by Dungeons and Dragons, he saw that dramatic film scripts could be developed on the fly by actors improvising within virtual green screen 3d CG sets. Perlin & Goldberg's Improv had enabled the direction of animated characters in real time. All that was missing was the “Story Engine” to direct the story. Chris Crawford had built that. So now he is working with these technologies to make “Cultural Simulations” with avatars that understand and converse.
